The CHEN Xiaoyue Scholarship awarding ceremony was held at SEM on December 17, 2010. Ten graduates and undergraduates of the School won the 2010 scholarship.
The scholarship was established in April 2010 in memory, and under the will of Professor CHEN Xiaoyue, former Chair of the Department of Accounting and former Associate Dean of the School. It is dedicated to undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students who excel in academic performance and personal integrity in tracks of financial affairs, accounting and finance.
At the scholarship awarding ceremony
On the awarding ceremony, Dean QIAN Yingyi wished the scholarship winners could contribute to society development in future study and work, thereby making full use of the scholarship committee’s generous donation.
Donating to the scholarship is a best way to memorize CHEN Xiaoyue as a teacher, said CHEN Dong, a student of Professor CHEN Xiaoyue. It is also in line with the respect for teachers and education in traditional Chinese culture, as well as with the legacy of selfless philanthropy.

CHEN Dong and about 150 other students and friends of Professor CHEN Xiaoyue have donated and contributed in various forms to the scholarship since its establishment.
