In April 2007, Tsinghua SEM attained the AACSB accreditation in business. In December of the same year, SEM gained AACSB accreditation in accounting. In February 2008, SEM also received EQUIS accreditation, thus becoming the first school on the Chinese mainland to attain both AACSB and EQUIS accreditations. In June 2011, European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) officially announced that Tsinghua SEM maintained its EQUIS accreditation.
